The University of Stellenbosch, South Africa Research project for 2003 - 2004 - "Sensor Network Modeling and Implementation Optimization with APRS using SRMA as MAC Layer Protocol " We intend to make use of OPNET's University Program to acquire a full feature version of OPNET to use in modelling the wireless sensor network. This will include creating models of SRMA as MAC layer protocol and also AX.25 that is implemented by the APRS specification. These models and additions to existing models will then be contributed to the open source community which is managed by the OPNET resource centre.
